Sehner at the Archäologische Staatssammlung in Munich

April 16, 2025

We are proud to present our contribution to the newly reopened Archäologische Staatssammlung in Munich — one of Germany’s most important archaeological museums.

After a complete redesign by renowned scenographers @atelierbrueckner, the museum now houses over 15,000 objects across two thematic exhibition routes that span 250,000 years of cultural history.

For this prestigious project, Sehner engineered and built a series of custom freestanding glass display cases. Each case integrates our versioX hinge system — invisible, robust, and engineered for the most demanding conservation and presentation needs. The result: elegant structures that offer maximum visibility and security, in perfect harmony with the architecture and narrative of the exhibition.
This project exemplifies what we stand for at Sehner: precision engineering, custom craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of curatorial and conservation requirements. Designed for the treasures of the past, built with today’s technology.
