Located directly next to Friedrichshafen Airport, the Dornier Museum presents 5,590 m² of exhibition space dedicated to the history of aviation and aerospace. Sehner Precision Display Cases realised large-format display cases, glazed exhibition components and custom solutions for a precise technical staging.

The exhibition presents the development of aviation and aerospace in the context of contemporary history. A museum box, glazed gallery zones and a walkable solar system structure the content clearly. Large display cases with Priva-Lite glazing, backlit wall elements and glazed exhibition components present exhibits and original segments in a controlled way. The hangar with large-scale machines is also integrated into the concept.

PRIVA-LITE GLAZING

Switchable glazing was integrated with technical precision and enables flexible visibility control as well as targeted dramatic staging of the exhibits.

LARGE-SPAN DISPLAY CASE SOLUTIONS

Stable display case solutions were precisely matched to the format and weight of the exhibits and ensure both presentation and protection.

BACKLIT WALL ELEMENTS

Graphic panels and image sequences were integrated into continuous wall modules and support orientation as well as thematic structure.

GLAZED ELEMENTS

Gallery and special zones were realised with clear glass construction and create transparent, technically controlled presentation areas.
