Floating Security Display Case for a Historic Gold Tea Service
For a gold tea service from the collections of the State Palaces, Gardens and Art Collections of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (SSGK MV), Sehner developed a bespoke security display case. Concealed technology and passive climate control keep the visual focus firmly on the exhibit.

PROTECTION THAT STAYS IN THE BACKGROUND
Im Mittelpunkt des Projekts stand ein goldenes Teeservice von hohem historischem und materiellem Wert. Die besondere Herausforderung bestand darin, umfassenden Schutz und kontrollierte klimatische Bedingungen zu gewährleisten, ohne die Wirkung des Exponats zu beeinträchtigen. Sehner entwickelte dafür eine individuelle Sicherheitsvitrine, deren tragende Konstruktion und technische Komponenten nahezu vollständig aus dem Blickfeld der Besucher verschwinden.

OBJECT PROTECTION
The gold tea service, of significant historical and material value, required an exceptionally reliable presentation and security solution.

The display case was designed to appear as if it were floating in front of the wall, without visible supports or fixings.

The supporting structure had to be precisely aligned before it was concealed behind the wall covering.

Passive regulation of the humidity inside the display case had to be ensured.
